pedal power

I went with a few friends to a ‘Green Festival’ a couple of weeks ago, which had strange bikes for kids to get stoked on, pedal powered hippy music and free bike checkups. I didn’t make great use of any of these things but thought that it was interesting none the less. it’s great to try and get people into cycling but I think it’s also good to break some of the associations between cycling and eco warrior hippy stuff. we don’t all brew compost in our pockets and we sip deaf/dumb goat tea from a cup made out of bat poo, pretending we live in a world where deodorant and razors haven’t been invented. we just love riding bikes
